Jodie B
“Alternative Hip-hop / Feel Good”
Grounded by her South African and Qalipu Mi'kmaq ancestry, Jodie B speaks her truth as an Indie / Hip-Hop artist producing, writing and live looping messages of authenticity, equanimity and perseverance.
From looping on the streets to performing live at international festivals, Jodie B orchestrates through a purple bass, a Fender Tele., and a 6 key harmonica belt, often performing alongside her sister Nique Blue, with her mandolin, saxophone and guitar.
She has performed at Monday Mag’s “Best Music Festival in North America” Shambhala Music Festival in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
In October 2020, Jodie B released her first, self-produced, self-recorded album “equanimous”; an 8 track personal perspective on life, emotions, and lessons.
From 2018 - 2020 Jodie B has opened for artists such as Kytami, DubFx, The Pharcyde, and Methodman & Redman. Jodie B has also produced and co-produced for hip-hop legends Snotty Nose Rez Kids, MAYDAY!, Nino Bless, and Atmosphere.
